This morning you've pushed me to consider more deeply what I hope they will get from the assignment they resist, whatever course I'm teaching.<br /><br />In my folktale course, typically students are only interested in reading/retelling the tales of the cultures that interest them. Why should they also have to read tales from the "boring" cultures?
